Developed for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Play It Loud" exhibition, Fender vs Gibson: The Great Guitar Debate explores the legendary Fender-Gibson guitar brand rivalry in three parts. Visitors first experience an exhibition graph, through which they learn about and listen to guitars used by the rock stars of "Play It Loud" via the Spotify API. The second segment offers a visual timeline tracing the development of Fender and Gibson's key instruments. The third section invites users to interact with a Stratocaster and Les Paul, listening to and visualizing their waveforms to understand their tonal differences.
